Once a year is about my limit. Usually by the time I’ve forgotten why I don’t go, and then my ass reminds me again of why I shouldn’t do it until I forget again in another year.

Re-read the title. My question is right there.

That didn’t answer the question. You just tried to argue what I posted instead, thus proving my point.

The fun thing about percentages though: you can have a 10,000% gain, but a 100% drop is an instant wipeout. So a 29% drop can still be more significant than what the value was two years ago.

“For that reason”…. 4 years ago is a broad guess for that. It could be another 10-20 years and then you’ll be “see! See! I was right” even though it may not be any reason you thought of.

“Close enough for government work” is a saying for a reason.

Honestly the sooner we have fully autonomous cars the better. This growing pain in the worst part but think about things
Too many people are still scared at this point but overall this would be a positive step for societies. I know there are negatives (car could repossess itself or it could cart me off to jail) but we can’t always fall in the trap of “it has to be 100% right”.

Yeah that was kind of outside of the scope of the discussion. It was mainly around a vasectomy to prevent births.

Just snipping the tubes, not yanking the boys out.

They consume, they do not create.
I wish. I’m still 20+ years from being able to draw on SSI and I can hear every image clear as day. This was just part of my childhood.
If was 20 years older that would mean that I could draw on social security before it’s fucked and probably would have worked somewhere with a pension too, rather than being forced into a 401k that’s probably also going to be fucked.

Except modern DCs operate on a “lights out” policy. They can install racks of servers and capacity upfront and then only have to stop by every couple months with a remote team to swap things out. Churning away with power from your community and tax breaks but no workers to deal with. It’s already a thing.

“Or whether Meta maintains its base”
Does anyone else feel like that’s the weasel clause in things?

That didn’t quite answer the question. I said county not country. I’m in America, elections are run at the county level usually.

Are there true electronic only voting machines in use? At least in my county, you go to one machine, pick out your choices, it prints out a slip with your choices (in plain English) and barcodes. You then go feed it into another system that scans it to record it and puts it into a locked box.
If a recount is ever called you have a paper copy with the actual names that were voted for.

This is why I am amassing a library of games and media that can all be consumed locally. The day that becomes the default is the day I stop paying for any of that. I don’t need “the new thing” or “you must watch this”. I have plenty of stuff to keep me entertained till the end of time.
The bitch is going to be components but I’m making sure I can work with things across multiple generations and have spares just in case.

Yes, be in is why having 8 of them total in the 2 digit range (I.e only using up to 6 bits of 384-bits) just screams incompetence of a hand generated key.

I mean, yes, it’s entirely possible and within the realm of probability of getting that as a key. But realistically it’s very, very, fucking unlikely.

If MapQuest could get public transit directions as good as Google, I’d drop them completely.
As of about 30 minutes ago she had a 1.2M vote lead and in 4 major cities she held a 40-60 point lead.
