the game is cool but it would be so sick if we could leave this gendered language behind in gaming. as a nonbinary person this is so fucking stupid.

Most people identify with gendered language & a binary gender. Like nearly everyone. So when discussing market appeal, it makes sense to discuss it in a gendered way.

Not every game, not all the time. But for a clearly femme coded game in makes sense to optimize towards you target audience
