I get the whole being elected thing being ok, it’s the no punishment thing that really pisses me off. Any one of us would have the book thrown at us…

There is something to be said about a tyrannical government charging people with felonies to prevent them from being eligible to be president, so as long as the people still vote for them I guess it’s ok. But as far as the law goes, wtf is the point of a felony if there are no repercussions? I go to jail or face fines but Donnie two diapers doesn’t because he’s rich, famous, and has a cult?

As far as working with Trump goes I kinda get it. I hate Schumer for a million reasons, but what else are we going to do there? Trump is either going to play ball occasionally or never, so they have to at least try. If you just start off saying “he’s not going to work with us so fuck it” without even trying then we definitely don’t accomplish anything. If we do try and there are actual good policies that trump vetos then if anything I would think that record should help in 2028, if Democrats can be bothered to actually talk about it.

I’m not blaming Democrats for what trump is doing, I’m reading the article and it seems to imply they they going to do what they want without Congress, but when Democrats are in office they act like they can’t do anything.

One could almost be mistaken and read this as: Democrats have had options every time they were in office, but instead cried and sucked their thumbs, soiling their diapers and claiming “we’d love to help you but the Republicans won’t let us! We’d need the super duper ultra mega majority with cream filling in order to accomplish anything!”
