Their worst day so far.

Their worst day so far.

Probably not. Even MS couldn’t do it and they owned the platform. Now Valve push Linux. No other store really runs on that, and certainly not in a way that lets you run games written for Windows.
Epic are closest to being a competitor, and they’re still just a free games platform that will only run until the Fortnite money stops coming in.

I for one look forward to the humorous Adam McKay movie explaining how we all lost all our pensions over this.
Doctor Who Vs The Master. Hmm. Have we been watching a show about a villain all along?

JavaScript should never have been used
that wayto begin with.

I do wonder how some of these companies intend to actually make money with it.
Anthropic, fair enough, they’ve convinced companies to spend huge amount of money making sure that programmers can’t remember anything or know what that mass of spaghetti does any more.
And MS, presumably it’s all companies spending money on Office 365 Copilot so emails get put in automated holding patterns, and quarterly reports get flashier graphs.
Nvidia, they sell shovels.
But Meta? Their entire business model is scraping data from real people, packaging and selling it to far right politicians and scammers. I’m struggling to figure how AI does anything other than fuck that up.

They’re all like this as well. “Look how smart we are, making lots more money by starting with lots of money getting very lucky”.
It would be like a roomful of lottery winners sitting around sipping brandy, and musing about how they’re better number pickers than anyone else, and sharing tip on picking out random digits…

Netflix does have a number of priors in that department. Their “documentaries” are pretty much always awful.
The danger of AI isn’t it going rogue, hacking and taking over things. It’s people forgetting how to think and just blindly obeying it.

That wouldn’t be bad value if it actually included the games.

They have.
Wait for excited CEOs to fire all their staff.
Crank up the prices.

4, 56, 66, 115, 155, 156, 230, 237.
That’s amazing! I have the same combination on my luggage.

Daddy Trump doesn’t have shares in that one.

Next thing to do, put a VR headset on it, and let it take a magical mystery tour!

Well you don’t want to undercook them. They’ve got all sorts of germs.

I haven’t even got that page on the UK site. Looking at things they recommend I buy, I see the usual collection of things I bought once years ago, and completely random shit that I’d never be interested in in a million years. All that data collected, for what? How these people are worth trillions I’ll never know.
Welp, time to get back into books or something.
A set of (acceptable) wireless earbuds costs about £25.
The main disadvantage is that if one falls out, it’s not tied to you with a bit of wire…
