Just to prevent misinformation, this hasn’t passed yet. It’s still to close to call, and King County, the most progressive county with the most people, have only had half their votes counted. The rest of the counties also have 25-50% of their votes left to count. And late-counted votes are usually from mail-in votes, which past years show are primarily Democrat votes in Washington.
Still, way closer than I would have liked to see
*Update: It passed 🙁

Now I’m wondering of its legal to sublet an apartment in a swing state, to someone in a state that doesn’t need their vote, so that they can help push it over the edge.
I checked and it varies from state to state, but you only have to have an address for a month in some States too be able to vote there, and if you have two addresses, you get to pick which you want to vote for.
So basically, 2 months before an election, I could subtlet my apartment to someone for like, $1, they wouldn’t even have to move or visit or anything. They update their voter registry, and once their ballot arrives, I can mail it to then to fill out and sign. They can then mail it in from there, or mail it back to me and I’ll drop it off.
As far as I can tell, there are no reasons why this wouldn’t work
