Even on release the 5090 cost more than my whole PC… and my PC literally had the highest end version of every other consumer grade component and a 9070XT (so highest end non-nvidia GPU). Point is it was always overpriced, a single component should not cost more than an entire rig.

Nah nah, the play is to say that they are people who are working voluntarily and also they can vote! (As interpreted by the data center owners)

GenZ Literally never having seen a functioning economy (at least while being old enough to meaningfully comprehend its existence) I imagine Generation Alpha is gonna have it even more fucked.

Don’t see how that’s cheating? It was told to win and found a way to win. LLMs take instructions 100% literally (like a genie but without the malice) so if the person setting the goal leaves out requirements because they assumed the LLM would conform to preconceived human behavioral norms then that’s entirely their own fault.

Not if there’s no control hardware for it to be connected too, a telemetry sensor in no way needs the ability to even influence the mechanical function of the device.

Aren’t microsoft products half vibe coded at this point anyway? Look at all these fires I put out, says fireman with trunk full of flares and gasoline.

I find that hard to believe, I recently had to uninstall co-pilot after it weaseled its way into my search bar. Its not an exageration to say that my PC literally ran cyberpunk 2077 with pathtracting better than it ran the fucking windows search bar with co-pilot.
As someone in the midst of being replaced by AI, it ain’t happening. It’s superficially great at my job but the moment anything needs fixing or changing its more work than if I (or a human in general) had been paid to make it properly in the first place. No real productivity has been gained or time saved, those costs have all just been kicked down the road. The only thing LLMs (specifically LLMs, narrow/specialist systems have legitimate uses) have really enabled is the ability to produce Bethesda levels of technical debt in record time.
