  • Brian Heywood, a republican millionaire who moved to WA from California to “escape liberals”, has been abusing the ballot initiative system here using his wealth for years. He (and his PAC “Let’s Go Washington”) purposefully makes them misleading or otherwise confusing to understand in order to get them passed.

A silver lining is that most of his initiatives haven’t passed (such as the initiative to repeal the millionaire tax), and those few that have over the years have been gutted, heavily modified, or found to be unconstitutional in the state supreme court. The supreme court here just became even more left leaning, and since the way he wrote the initiative makes it only apply to girls, it’s likely to be thrown out.

  • Where did you see that I was feeling sorry for her?

I’m not conflating the two. Users saying that they want her to perform sexual acts for them, saying that she’s starting an OnlyFans, and talking about her appearance as many comments in this thread have done hurts all women, not just her.

Those things detract from the terrible shit she’s done, and serve only as a distraction from them. I hate her for what she’s done and who she is, and I can say that without making sexist comments about her which could affect other women.

Did you read the other comments in this thread before you decided to use the women in your life as an example?

  • Bad press doesn’t mean they can start losing even more money on space data centers (which are going to be incredibly inefficient and costly). They already do not make a profit, they’re all deep in the red.

Drag is not the only problem (even though these would definitely be LEO, it is just even more expensive to not have them in LEO and it increases latency), nor are bit flips. The biggest issue will continue to be heat. If you haven’t been to a data center before, you may be surprised at how much heat they generate. I’ve only been to non-LLM data centers, and the heat in the warm aisles was unbearable.

And that’s without the sun heating the exterior to incredible amounts. You cannot use contact to dump heat into space.

You might also be surprised at how much e-waste data centers generate, especially LLM-geared data centers. They obliterate hardware, even with optimal cooling, and that hardware requires constant replacement. How are they going to manage that?

Also, unless they use nuclear (which would drastically increase costs and add heat) they’re going to need gigantic solar arrays, much bigger than the IIS’ array.
