What did I just read? A psychopathic 8-year old boy? I’m glad the docs and specialists saved the little girl, I hope she can one day again feel safe in school.

I called this some time ago, that once the election was over and if the democrats won big, there would be no recriminations against any illegal acts that the president or his party may have done. This is how our political system has worked for my entire life. The two parties are not the same, but they do work together and they are both corporate parties. “The Spice Must Flow.”

Ridiculous. There’s no such thing as a left party in the US.

Kids love to bully other kids. Imagine being a transgirl and having to use the boys restroom. Will they be allowed to carry around personal urine and poop bags? Will there be a place where they can use them other than a bathroom where they’d get bullied?

It is reasonable for folks at the top to be subject to the laws just like common citizens. Epstein victims still deserve justice.

The election took place against the backdrop of Trump’s vice-like grip on the Republican party, which has extended to its representatives in Congress, from whom he has faced scant opposition even while encroaching on what have traditionally been congressional prerogatives.

Republicans hate checks and balances? Voters have said, “Show us your stuff, Democrats!”

Publicly available information is delayed?

The message they’re giving users who report is “You don’t matter.”

But it wasn’t until it was contacted by a journalist that Meta backtracked on its initial assessment that the pages didn’t violate its policies, a lapse that raises serious concerns about the company’s moderation practices and the effectiveness of the reporting policies available to everyday users. Why was this content held to a different standard when it was raised by a reporter, and not when it was flagged through official Facebook channels by a normal account holder?

Payment was to CoreCivic per this article. Seems to dovetail with overzealous militias like ICE.

One of my greatest personal fears is that a Constitutional Convention will be used to shove Christianity down our throats. That said, failure to regulate churches has resulted in a group of conservative churches that preach pretty much the opposite of what Jesus said. The document was a series of compromises, far from perfect. The compromise over keeping the government out of religion was to keep the peace and avoid sectarian warfare. We’re seeing some hints of that as a result of the Talarico vs Paxton race in Texas.

You talkin’ to me? According to BallotTrax, my vote has been received and will be counted (if it hasn’t already been counted).

My dad had a couple of heart attacks, 15 years apart. The second one killed him, he was close to a hospital, but they were unable to save him. The first one however, he described it afterwards as feeling like a horse was sitting on his chest.

Here’s to hoping Senator Murphy has a quick recovery from his stroke.

Hey, I came here to say that!

Nice to see Obama and read about his humor. What a great speaker. I have not been in a Cheesecake factory since dear old dad died in the 1990s, so I pulled up some photos of the interior decor. Hoo boy, they even have the Eye of Sauron! Yep, Obama is right once again!

This is why the Separation of Church and State is so important.

In a few days after the US election results are tabulated and published, will we look back on this as deja vu?

According to DeepMind, in the US presidential election of 2020, the overseas voting rate was 9%.

I too have known some folks who claim to be Christians to be honorable, upstanding folks, but my guess is they would have been so had they never been exposed to the religion. The case against Christianity is not just against American forms of it. Here’s some reading for you, and be advised this is a fairly large site:

Kristin Kobes Du Mez studies the white Christian women who preach a religion of universal love but practice a politics of division, exclusion, and hate.

There’s your error right there, Christianity is not a religion of love and tolerance.

The US constitution failed us.
