Yeah I love the Smashing Pumpkins’ music but Billy has been a known dickhead since at least the mid-90s. I think just about every member of the band aside from Jimmy Chamberlain has rage quit because of him at some point or another. Last thing I heard, everyone from Zwan still doesn’t talk to him and they broke up like 20 years ago lol.

Yeah same here, I haven’t had an account for ages now, but I do still occasionally take a look. But first they did the “new reddit” thing, then the API thing so all the apps stopped working, then VPN blocking and now this will (presumably) kill redlib as well. I’m kind of done having to find all these workarounds just to look at a site that obviously doesn’t want me going there and is becoming increasingly worthless anyway. Oh well.

My ideal scenario:

• The AI bubble lasts a little bit longer, they put data centers in space.

• The bubble pops immediately after this, all the companies go broke and nobody maintains the satellites.

• Free PC components rain from the skies, I sit out on the roof surrounded by buckets catching RAM and SSDs.

• They’re a bit scorched but I’ll take what I can get.
