2·3 hours agoYeah I hear you there for sure. It’ll take a little time to get stuff going, especially since it’ll be a bit before peeps are even sworn in, but I’m definitely expecting things to move much quicker than they have in the past. If they don’t, then yes, we would need to make some noise to show we’re still insisting on this stuff

2·8 hours agoI don’t plan on changing, don’t worry. With your way we’d just be trying to make snappy comebacks to each other while the world dies around us.
If being adorable helps bring about actual change, then all I have to say is UwU

7·8 hours agoYep, rampant, scared spending that increased the closer we got to the midterms, Trump apparently trying to hide evidence he’s a felon (???lol???) all the conservatives scrambling to save their own hides already…
I definitely expect them to try something. I just don’t think it was plan A-E, so it’s probably a last-minute Hail Mary plan F. Still could be something awful and dangerous, but these peoples’ plan A is almost always a clusterfuck, and the American people just showed that we are tired of their fascist shit and are done with them altogether, so they’ll have a massively uphill battle no matter what they do

3·8 hours agoYeah it’s definitely been harder to try to stay positive about the state of the world recently, especially on rough days. If you can, try to find folks expressing hope, and add your voice to theirs, if possible, as well. If it’s still just too hard of a day, just unplug as much as possible, but still try to keep the hope alive internally.
Either way, I hope your day improves ❤️

8·9 hours agoProps for that, I appreciate it. I know how easy it is to give in to despair and assume nothing good will come of this sort of thing, because historically it’s been rare. But the important thing to remember is that MAGA and the corrupt corporate democrats want you to feel like that because it makes their jobs so much easier. Keeping the hope is a direct stand against them, so it’s worth it for that reason alone. But I’ve found that once you start to vocalize it, and see others vocalize it, it makes it easier to actually believe that things can get better. Especially after the midterms we just had.
I also apologize for coming at you so strong. I’ve been seeing so many people trying to break the hope, and I’ve been trying to push back against it, and it’s just exhausting and frustrating 😅

Do you do that to everyone who downvotes you without comment? Because if so I gotta tell you, I have a feeling you are a busy bastard

3·1 day ago…what? Do I know you? 😅 I don’t think we’ve ever actually interacted. Unless you thought you were on another one of your accounts or something…
But just to humor you, yes obviously a lot of established Democrats are shitty, and have done shitty things, and rarely undo shitty things they could have. But you cannot seriously compare them with an out-in-the-open cabal of fascists and child-rapists. That is orders of magnitudes worse, and the US has been in free fall since they took over (again).
I don’t pretend to know all the answers, I don’t claim that certain things will happen, all I ever advocate for is to make changes where we can, usually by voting, and continuing to have hope that we can move toward a better future. Massive change cannot happen overnight, and before we get to a fully progressive government, we have to go back to an actual functioning democracy first. These midterms are the first step toward that, and with the amount of progressives getting elected, and the shear number of seats turning from red to blue, it was more of a success than most people even dared to hope for.
If you or anyone else has problems with that, or casts doubt or aspersions on it or on people celebrating this win, then I have to question what your end-goal really is

81·1 day agoAnd you’re definitely a steaming pile of shit
It’s more that making them self-reflect might cause them to change for the better long term. They don’t even need to come all the way to the progressive side, or even to the corporate Democrat side, but if they change enough to move them away from the fascist side, the entire world wins
This. They need to be ridiculed for their past behavior, but supported for making a change. Make them embarassed for how they were, maybe a couple will end up doing some serious self-evaluation. I know most probably won’t, but if even a couple do it’s worth it

51·1 day agoLmao yeah I’m saying that this blue wave is something to be hopeful about and a great thing for our country because I’m a conservative 😂 stupidest troll attempt I’ve seen in a minute.
Blocking you would be useless because you’d still be spewing this shit to others, and it’s always good to point out how wrong you are and how you’re just a sad troll so that others can see you fail and be ridiculed
Yeah you’re right, we should definitely be vocal about that kind of stuff right now, online and to our representatives. When I said “make noise” I meant it more like protesting and stuff, but I could have worded that better, my bad
