Makes me extra angry that I got one the year it first released as an xmas gift from my parents… then a week later when i went looking for it my wife threw it out because she assumed all the bags from the gifts were empty… I never got a new one and still bitter about that one.
GTA only, because for the first time ever I can’t afford a switch 2 to get the game. Maybe one day, but probably not for another year at least. My friend is getting both and by accident he realized best buy is doing a midnight release so he will get it tonight. Been years since we last heard of a midnight release. I miss those days. I told him to let me know how many ppl even show.
In all fairness they tried horribly in Nevada called the Vegas Loop where tunnels were built under the city to speed up transport using driverless teslas to get to like several points as quick as possible. I think it was a flop though. Its the big reason why companies shouldnt be making these things and instead should be government projects for infrastructure improvement. Mixing profit with necessity never works.
Ive been saying this. The only way this succeeds is to sell this to businesses, but even then I feel like companies are realizing it’s way to much money to actually justify it because they want to reduce workforce and save money but this will not do that. In the end they get a great deal on the first few years before the contract is up and then have to renew at way higher pricing. Not to mention they have less control over the company and will be paying yearly maintenance fees that probably cost more than the raises they wouldnt have given their employees but now have to pay up those crazy fees every year no matter what. Yeah it’s absolutely going to fail for most things for the forseeable future. Someone will find a way to make it work eventually, but its still a ways off.

Absolutely what I thought. I love how everyone assumed it was hacked… In the 20 years I have been at my job we have had a particular model of desk phone that it happened to twice and when it did it creates a network storm and tanks your entire network (at the time this company did not have proper vlans in place which would have mitigated the issue). You trace it to the device and reboot it and everything is fine again. The phones were still replaced just in case, but that was always one of the wilder ones here. My guess is this was something similar and since it’s his older parents they probably didnt even notice the network being bogged down.

Why even bother? Is it actually required to have an internet connection? If so get rid of it, thats so dumb and intrusive… and if not just turn off wifi on it, why even leave it on at all.
Had that happen a few times. I just use a key that I normally have on me for the house or car (car less these days since its a fob and sliding the key out isn’t worth it). A few good and steady stabs closest to the line should do the trick. Then just push down with finger.
