My first day is tomorrow @3am believe it or not.

If political bullshit didn’t matter we wouldn’t have to endure it as if it were two religions fucking each other up. The only thing that’s the same about both parties, is that it’s all a major distraction to make you all think you have some semblance of control over the outcome. Another thing that’s the same, is that both parties deploy the whole: If you don’t vote you don’t have a say in anything, which is really intolerant of their fellow citizens.

I wonder how many democrats and republicans void anything someone says after hearing, “I didn’t vote,” while still hearing something that makes your ears perk up and make your brain start thinking. They immediately shut down any opinion with the person who didn’t vote because they’re not going to automatically agree on what they believe in and won’t automatically shit on the other side. Which sadly enough, is the reason I voted so I can have a say and not hear, “If you didn’t vote don’t bitch.”

This fuckin’ country will make you compromise yourself, so that you can have a say and I don’t care who I voted for, fuck I don’t even know who I voted for but I voted democrat so when people ask me which way did you vote, I don’t seem like some evil prick and I still get to talk about politics without abandonment of conversation.

That’s truly the most disgusting part of it all, is getting cutoff mid conversation after being asked who did you vote for saying no one and then it seeming like nothing you say even matters.

I felt dirty voting (and still do) because I didn’t believe in what I voted for and I truly only believed in NO ON 8 to keep cannabis around. However, because I voted democrat on everything and because I voted on more than just Question 8, my conversations about politics will not be (as) ruined.

I am not saying voting don’t matter but don’t compromise yourself to vote because everyone around you is telling you that you should. It’s a dirty feeling for some and an excitement for others.
