  • It depends, really. I usually just fiddle with PC (piracy, emulation and the like) but also game a lot (on PC) and recently got a Switch 2 with Mario Kart World (and tomorrow Zelda Ocarina Remake). If gaming does not satisfy my needs then I read, currently busy with Revenge Of Odessa and debating to start any of the Dostoyevsky books.

In the evening I usually settle down with tv series or anime. I have been binging a show called ‘’Dr.Bull 2016’’ and started the new season of Dexter Resurrection yesterday evening.

Socializing is not my thing, I’m really introverted and don’t really like people in general. I rather have alone time after spending 5 full days surrounded by people from work.

  • Actually very recently…

I had been searching for a job, for a month and just wanted work. Accepted a job that’s kind of below my degree and what I can. Salary was pretty low and didn’t feel well with the interview.

But I just wanted have a job, you know? However, I did not sign anything yet.

A day later, I get called by a recruiter and mentioned he had a job offer. One I had been really trying to get. I took that opportunity, stalled the other job by not answering the email for the documents to sign.

A week later and surprisingly got accepted by the other job! This job has better pay, better work, better opportunities and long term is just so much better for my CV, knowledge and self development.

So I called the recruiter of the previous job, the one I did not want. Explained in most polite way that I will still refuse it because I found something else which fits my long term plans better. Of course he was polite but not happy at all. I also emailed the company and the person mailed me back decently but notable disappointed.

  • If we do not own the games when we purchase them, then piracy is not stealing. Don’t want to give us ownership when we pay for it, okay. Pirate everything. Jailbreak the PlayStation, download the games, and put them on an HDD/SSD, whatever, and play them. That way, you own the game and can play whenever you want.

That said, I don’t think this sentiment of Sony is new. I think many companies have been doing the “you just get a license but don’t own the thing you purchased” thing for a long time. Sony is just currently the company that is getting the most attention for it.

It is why I always say, “Get a PC, learn to pirate everything, and purchase the software and games from independent developers (indies).”. That way, you own the software and the games while also supporting the developers that deserve it.

This way, you don’t have to worry about the whole “you don’t own the product” thing, keep money in your pocket, which is economically wiser in today’s times, and you can support the developers that deserve it.
