yea that’s fair as well, I just didn’t see the point in playing a console that I didn’t have anything left to play on.

they did that with the previous Xbox,called it the all access pass. It was the unit combined with gamepass ult which you had for the duration of the two or three-year payment plan I understand their thought process on it because it does do a good job at forcing the consumer to have a subscription they normally wouldn’t have, but in reality, the only thing it did was make it so I didn’t purchase any actual games for the unit, so when their overpriced subscription finally ran out, I had no reason to continue using the console, and it’s basically collected dust since because all of the games I would have purchased, I had already played via Game Pass Ultimate, and I had no hard copy games to play.

Well, they had my attention because I was looking for new earphones, but they are another stupid tailed design one so guess this is a pass.

Why does it seem like nobody can make minimalistic earphones anymore. They all gotta be huge goady “LOOK AT ME WORLD I HAVE EARPHONES IN” style ones. If I wanted the entire world to know that I was wearing something I would wear headphones. The entire point of earphones is to keep them minimalistic in design, but we’ve lost that along the way.

This happens whenever you’re talking about any topic that the AI model provider has decided arbitrarily they don’t want to do.

I got temporarily banned off deep-seek the other day because I was curious about how well generation technology has gotten for self-hosting. So I asked it about setting up Comfy UI because I had never used it before. Woke up the next morning to a your account has been suspended because we have deemed you broke terms of service. In order to appeal you need a Chinese phone number, it made me chuckle.

Considering the only two questions I asked it was about comfy UI or how to make a recipe similar to the now discontinued flaming hot cheetos Mountain Dew(I missed the production window sadly!)

I’m leaning towards the comfy UI being the reason.

yea 11m changes is quite a bit at once but, I wouldn’t expect a constant change like that. After all, the monorepo itself is a little over 3m lines, 1.37m of it being lang/locale files for every language for its front end, 600k of it is comments, and 1.5m is the rest of it.

This commit was the refactor commit from the private dev flow to the open source repo. The process basically added a lot of files and deleted a bunch as well. it was long overdue but I wouldn’t expect constant 11m line code changes
