24·1 day agoThis is mostly a sign that the overton window has shifted so far to the right that Democrats are palatable again.
He was a Republican 15 years ago. He hasn’t changed. The Democrats just came to meet him.

Nausea and the ability to vomit are different things. Horses get sea sick but cannot vomit. So they’re pretty useless for a few days after say, crossing the English channel on a boat.

0·6 days agoNo it’s literally just that foreign heads of state, regardless of citizenship status. I would also go so far as to say foreign heads of state should not be able to hold dual citizenship, but that’s more of a problem for members of that state, not the state they’re also a citizen of.

6·6 days agoLaws are threats of violence established by the dominant socioeconomic class of any given nation. Conservatism demands that there is a protected class for whom the law protects, and a subjugated class for whom the law is used to opress. Every cycle, who qualifies as the protected class shrinks, and who is subjugated grows.

Sir this is the Internet

The last few times the Democrats held a majority in both houses, they rolled over for Republicans who were absolutely relentless in their attacks.
When Republicans held both houses, Democrats just silently let them get away with whatever, instead of going on the offensive the way they should.
Attack. Legislation isn’t going to happen. Investigate. Obstruct. Be so offensive that simply existing in Washington becomes unpalatable for Republicans.
Instead what they’ll do is send through the most milquetoast of progressive legislation, watch it get vetoed and when it comes to a point where it could actually happen, they’ll forget the ever brought it up in the first place. Like they do every time.
