If fascist is my final form, please God just take me now…

I’m a libertarian - or at least was - and can confirm that at least one of those things is true!

I don’t support doing this legislatively, but there should be a greater incentive to optimize storage size and bandwidth. Broadband has made us far too comfortable with unnecessarily large files and inefficient compression.

Have to second Organic Maps, especially if you want a single app for driving and hiking/running/biking/etc. The trade-off is no live traffic or adaptive routing, which you can certainly learn to live without. (Don’t forget that alternative routing using paper maps used to be a common practice.)

That does not matter to me, personally, and I cannot generalize intelligence, decision-making validity, or the motives for having children based on need for food. What I will say is that people who come to food banks and pantries are human beings who do not deserve suffering when resources exist and the barrier to their survival is currency.

Trying to ascribe individual blame in a system as broken as our global economy is pointless; we live in the system and we are forced to survive in it. The best we can do is act to reduce suffering and strive to fix what is broken.
To that end, sympathy is an empty gesture. I empathize with them. Then I stock the local food bank so that they and their children can eat.
Nino Mangione’s supporters used to regularly talk about killing Democrats on his Facebook page with no attempts at moderation or removal. I left Facebook and radically altered my online presence as a result.
