I get around 250+ trick or treaters every year. So I have 30lbs of candy ready, I might need another 10 or so. Maybe I’ll go get some of my favorites. You know just in case I need it.
Last year I barely had enough and only had like 5 pieces of candy at the end of the night. I had to wrestle my 16 year old to get into his stash the next day. It was so much easier to steal his candy when he was little. Little shits been hitting the weights this year as well.

Technology@lemmy.world•DHS Inspector General Finds That TSA is Not Properly Safeguarding Passenger Facial Recognition DataEnglish
4·19 days agoEver since they introduced the facial recognition software I have opted out. I always approach the station at an angle if possible or with my passport between the camera and my face if not. Then when thy ask me to step in front of the camera a simple “No, thank you” has always worked. Polite yet firm and they hand me back my passport and away I go. It’s pretty much always faster.
Every so often you get a dickhead that makes a show of it taking longer to verifying it by their own eyeballs.
That being said, if you a flying internationally anymore, your picture at least will be taken when you enter.

We got a 3’ toy grabber for my younger son when he was like 5 years old.
He is 16 now and we use it to reach all sorts of things behind the dryer, under furniture, etc. It’s a plastic toy yet it has lasted for years and works surprisingly well.
