This is my take as well.

The Atari 400 and 800 used a modified cassette player to store and load. It was tremendously buggy with the sync tone that started transfer.

Gen X here - we had a good quiet 20 years and then everything went entirely to hell.

I said the same thing then took the plunge a year or so ago. Now the people that I used to keep up with on FB text and interact directly with me more often even than FB and I enjoy it more… Also don’t have to incidentally see all the assholes in the process.

I don’t agree with this study and I am not a fan of AI. Replace the AI tool that they used with a calculator. You’d get the same results. Here you are legally cheating on some task because you were told to do it - breezing right along thinking of something cool you are gonna do later and then … WHAM ! Cheaty tool gets yoinked. Now fuck - I have to think ? I’d probably think fuck it, I’ll give it a half asssed shot because fuck them for making it not fun.

Non issue. The crap I do buy there is defined perfectly. Nothing even remotely like my ass is flat. Sigh
