Honestly, right now Trump is going on a full on assault on democracy, he’s meddling with elections threatening to keep him and his den of jackals in power. I can see how even the horrific conspiracy and crimes against children he is part of takes a second seat to this, because if he gets his way, we lose the country, democracy, and any hope of holding these people to account.

I think LLMs are a great tool for searching through lots of information. I just think their monopolization and monolithical mass adoption is bad. The people who run them are bad. The scale at which they do it is bad. The dangers are very real and bad.
But they’re great at sifting through and collating information. Private ones are great. The tech is awesome. The current implementation is problematic. Like we got nuclear energy and atom bombs at the same time. This is that.
