You’re so cool.

So glad you contributed. The thread is so much better for your input.

This comment is the most exciting thing I’ve read on Lemmy all year long! I can’t wait to talk about something else! Whoopeee! Yay!

It’s obvious that there’s 1760 yards in a mile.
There’s 22 yards in a chain, which we can all remember because of the 22 yard line in rugby.
There are 10 chains in a furlong, which fans of metric can’t complain about.
There are 8 furlongs in a mile, just like there are 8 pints in a gallon.
And 22x10x8 = 11x10x16 and 11 is easy to multiply by in your head, so it’s really very simple to get to 1760.

False. The demand has been created. While there is demand, there will be supply, China or no China.

That’s… that’s not how this works. That’s not how any of this works.
Mild discounts, yes. Cheap again? No.
In fact, the only thing more boring than a repost is someone thinking they’re original when they’re complaining about reposts. Get over yourself. You’re not the only one reading the internet. Someone else might be one of today’s lucky 10000. https://xkcd.com/1053/
