Until people can be fully substituted for robots, leading us into some Altered Carbon dystopia, there’s hope in me. When regular people are not needed to produce goods then we’re fucked.

But the timing is nice. Just before technology lands us in that dystopia we’re getting a new swing towards social common sense. The other side swung early. Thankfully.

There’s also a whole new generation of politicians just now getting into more powerful roles, and economic crashes such as the one we seem to be heading into most often generates a social reset.

And I think the groups that took a long while to start erecting their spine, hopefully won’t crawl back too easily - long to wake up, long to sleep.
