Kagi is free for Libraries, maybe schools could cut a nice deal too!
They don’t run on jetfuel once converted, either natural gas or diesel. Diesel costs a fortune compared to natural gas in a gas turbine.
I work for a gas turbine OEM and almost exclusively our turbines run on gas with diesel as a backup fuel supply in case of a supply side shortage.
However in this market who knows, they probably can tanker in diesel ASAP rather than waiting for natural gas infrastructure.
I love Ente, you can have 5 people spread across so it works out cheaper too. So in reality it’s like £2/person/month for ~200GB or £1 each for 40GB each.
I love supporting their cause though.
Well RAM lines is better than big tech just gobbling it all up on investments from my pension.
14·8 hours agoI’m not going to lie. It’s absolutely glorious what AI is doing to software after companies have enshittified it with subscriptions, add-ons, and gatekept features.
I’m not a big AI fan (I do use it for some monotonous tasks, but not generative stuff). This, however is a nice own goal for big tech.
The problem with CEOs and tech bros is they think I give a shit what they’ve got to say. All of them. Elon is the worst on this, has to have an opinion on everything, just STFU.
At some point somebody should step in here. Computing has become so ubiquitous that it’s pretty much needed in a functional world. Why should AI centers get the supply while we suffer with higher prices/worse products?
Because photos and videos are analyzed on your device, Apple doesn’t receive an indication that sensitive content was detected and doesn’t get access to the photos or videos.
That doesn’t mean that - It could be on device AND send an indication…

The markets aren’t stupid, theres just as many who want it to fail to short it.
I just cannot get on board with Proton Pass while I cant have a completely different set of credentials.
I keep my Proton passwords inside the password manager. Either I need to make my Proton password memorable and be my master password OR setup the 2 password mode where I need to remember and login 2 passwords.
They need some kind of privacy pass implementation to link your Proton pass to your Proton account while allowing completely separate credentials.
Yeah vaultwarden and photos are the 2 things i’m too nervous to selfhost. I do selfhost basically everything else but these 2 things are too important for me to mess up that I just don’t…
Aslong as it stays source available at a bare minimum for the paid offering/options I think I can live with that.
Don’t even know where i’d switch.
Proton -> I already use Proton suite and I like the seperation, the 2 password option doesn’t work for me either. I just need a seperate password.
Keepass -> I use quite a few devices and the sync just seems like a nightmare…
Any other options? For now i’ll stick as BW is still great but will start exploring others.
The issue is, the bitwarden app you still use is what is affected by this change.
