Bazzite is Fedora-based, so shouldn’t be functionally different. It just comes with Steam, Protontricks and a bunch of other gaming utilities pre-installed and easy to set up. And it’s atomic, so in theory should be easy to roll back if an update messes up something (which I haven’t had to do yet).

Agree on Plasma’s customisation, there’s been multiple times where I looked up how to do some stuff I’ve done on Win10 with Power Toys or 3rd party software only to discover it’s a built in thing (like window tiling).

Hopped from Windows 10 to Bazzite about 6 weeks ago. Didn’t really know anything about desktop environments so chose KDE Plasma as it was the default option. Didn’t regret it for a second. The time of Linux gaming is now (as long as you don’t play any Riot games or other kernel level anti-cheats that didn’t bother to adapt to Linux).

In this specific case, part of me actually wants the emulation (or at least the games decompilation) to be done with corporate AI, so that Nintendo can go nuclear on whatever company was its provider.

I would get upset if someone was smoking in the same room as me, for the same reason. Smoking will not suddenly disappear. That’s no reason to accept it as something good.

Climate change is also already here, should we stop giving a fuck about it and deregulate fossil fuels? “You cannot escape AI” is such a common thought-terminating cliche it gives me a migraine.

Shouldn’t you be delegating those routine tasks to your AI? Or is it not smart enough to figure out a drink order?

At least you recognize your own failings, that’s the first step to improving!
