Michigan Democratic Party chair Curtis Hertel made it crystal clear on Sunday that Rep. Haley Stevens (D-MI) was no longer welcome in the state’s Democratic party.
Hertel posted to X after Stevens yanked her support from Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed (D) and gave it to his Republican challenger, “Congresswoman Stevens is not a current member of the Michigan Democratic Party, nor will she be in the future.”
Bill Maher basically said the same thing. It’s the same excuse every old, hateful establishment Dem uses when they don’t want to admit how bigoted and out of touch they are.
