what fediverse services do you use
and why do you use the fediverse
and maybe optionally do you think that peertube is good
mine: i use lemmy and mastodon and i use the fediverse because i want to help open source not for the big platform’s being bad
I use Lemmy and Mastodon.
What’s not to like? Actual human responses and nice people, no ads, no ai, and no algorithm deciding what I see.
I would argue that most of the responses are not from humans, and most of them are not nice. But no ads is a great feature! ;)
Yeah, there’s an even lower barrier of entry for bots on a federated model, by design. And people on here are definitely less nice than on reddit, the vibe is generally negative: most posts are rants, complaints or bad news. I miss the cat pictures sometimes.
