The dead guy behind Trump shot himself, as did the wounded folks, because they loved Trump so much. Trump pulled a masterful piece of acting where he looked utterly stunned when they picked him up. Biden’s FBI confirmed Trump was fired on. We all know what masterful planning and execution Trump and his people are capable of, and they always keep their mouths shut, not a single leak! All this for a single-digit ratings bump that barely lasted a week. It’s all very simple if you think about it.
OR, a teenager got past weak security, climbed onto a rooftop and shot his shot, missed and barely dinged Trump in the ear.

I thought that the fake part was just that he hurt his ear while ducking down and since he’s an older man, a slight scratch can bleed quite a bit. So him claiming to be hit by the bullet was possibly fake.
That doesn’t have to invoke a full blown conspiracy of multiple suicides and fake gun assault.
In wrestling they will cut themselves with razor blades to make themselves bleed. He was heavily involved with the WWE and its owner for decades. The speculation was that he did something similar with the broken glass from the teleprompter. So what’s fake is that he saw the broken glass and when the shooter was down he cut himself in some place that bleeds well and jumped up to get the photo op.

I do think his ear really was hit by the bullet, but if a major news org were to release some evidence that there actually was a conspiracy and it was all fake, I’d change my mind no question.

The average American commutes 2× the distance than the average UK citizen. Plus there’s rarely a public transit option. So for many this is a doubling of an expense that cannot be avoided.

Plus the average US car consumes much more fuel than the average UK car. So your 2x expense would quickly become a 3-4x expense. A Ford F350 truck happens to be slightly less efficient than a Ford Focus.
But seriously, dirt cheap fuel has caused the demand for fuel efficient vehicles to be near zero in the US. No one would drive these stupid trucks otherwise.

I take it you’ve never been to the US. There is no “just walk there” in most of the US. Most places don’t have functional mass transit - no busses or local trains or trollys. Even bicycle infrastructure is minimal if it even exists in most places. It’s a huge country and everything is far apart. A lot of Americans commute driving up to an hour or more every day to get to work.
Beyond people traveling, everything we need or buy has to be moved around the country. Trains, trucks, planes, and delivery vehicles all require fuel.
Cheap gas is a requirement for our economy to function. If gas is expensive, people drive less and prices go up across the board. If they drive less, they don’t go out as often, and if they don’t go out, they aren’t spending money in the community.
Gas is subsidized in the US, we pay the rest in taxes

You do not want to ride a bike on a lot of US roads. They’re designed for high-speed/high-volume vehicle traffic. Drivers don’t even think to look for bicyclists in most places.
