I might understand what you’re saying, but that isn’t what you posted about. That’s a completely different, and seemingly made up, problem.

Why would I be outraged at things I can easily avoid if I want to? If I wanted to complain about prices it’d be at spring events and concerts. I can typically buy a 6 pack for the cost of 1 beer.

You weren’t kidding. The amount of confidently incorrect comments in there is astounding.

I think it’s just a select few people that have issues with Steam. I’ve never once thought or felt that steam was slow. Some games start up slow, but that’s not because of Steam. Just using the program is quite responsive.
