Make me.
There is always a well-known solution to every human problem - neat, plausible, and wrong.

It wasn’t a summary of this thread. I gave it the title and the platform and asked it to come up with the most predictable responses. It never saw what was already written here. Also, I’m paying 30 euros a month to use said AI.
I gave it no link to this thread. Only the title and the platform and asked it to predict the most likely responses.
It’s not a summary of this thread. I gave it the title and the platform in question and asked it to make an educated guess on what the responses here are going to be like.
It produced response one way or another. Is there something wrong with it content-wise? Because even in the case of it being a direct quote taken from somewhere else, it would only further make my point: this place being a caricature of itself to the point that articles are being written about it.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Do people who deserve to suffer deserve to be helped?
131·2 days agoYes, not even the worst people you can imagine. I don’t believe in free will so I don’t view these people as ultimately responsible for what they are. They could not
behave acted otherwise and any kind of punishment carries the implicit assumption that they could have but actively choose not to.If someone intentionally causes immense suffering to others and is unable to stop that behaviour then I think these people should be locked away. Not as a punishment but to defend the innocent. If a bear wanders into a neighbourhood and mauls a person, we shoot the bear but not out of retribution. If we could tell it to go back to the forest and stay there, and it did, then it wouldn’t make much sense to follow it there and make it suffer to even things out, would it?

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Do people who deserve to suffer deserve to be helped?
372·2 days agoThe premise falsely (in my view) assumes there are people who deserve to suffer.
Limit exposure to the paralyzing firehose of information and focus on my immediate surroundings and things I actually have some control over. There are multiple things I can do today that make my tomorrow better.
Do you know what fun is?
On a theoretical level yes, but due to how my mind works I tend to find joy in things other people don’t, and vice versa not find it in things other people do.
Nah, it’s not me you’re not liking - you don’t even know me. You just don’t like what I’m saying and I’m perfectly okay with that.
You only know it’s an LLM because I told you so. The content itself is in perfect alignment with the rest of the comments here. Just highlights how unsurprising and predictable the responses here actually are. I could’ve picked any of those and posted it here, without mentioning the source, and I would’ve been showered with upvotes. This isn’t a difficult game to play which is why I’m not even playing.
To demonstrate a point.
No thinking required here as is demonstrated by said machine accurately predicting major part of the responses to this thread, including yours. This is nothing but a roll-call for people to come parrot and upvote the popular, broadly accepted talking points.
I asked an LLM to simulate this thread:

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What are some life lessons you've learned in your own way?
7·3 days agoLife is essentially a sandbox video game. There’s no right way to play the game and you don’t have to do what others are doing - you can do your own thing. If you do what everyone else does you get what everyone else has. Do you want that? I don’t.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Why aren't people outraged about convenience pricing?
21·3 days agoThere must be an upper limit for how many things an individual can feel outraged about simultaneously. For me that limit is zero.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What are your plans to get through this next major global recession?
42·3 days agoI have a stable job I can’t be fired from, frugal lifestyle and substantial savings. Can’t say I’m particularly worried. 2008 didn’t affect me in any meaningful way either. Even now my country has the highest rate of unemployment in the EU yet I’ve been overworked the whole summer.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•It's the year 3000, you need to be medically induced into a coma because of the Y3K disease. What video game/anime/movie/tv show/book are you isekai'd into for the foreseeable future?
1·4 days agoConsidering that I only play a single game it then seems like I’ve going to be spending a lot more time in Chernarus. I hope the ability to respawn was part of the deal - otherwise I’m screwed.
Here’s my consumption for this year. 90m², 100 litre electric water heater and heatpump for heating the house. I only reach that 60kWh consumption in december to february when it’s -15°C outside.

We have one plug in oil filled heater outside in the detached storage / workshop area.
See that spike in the electricity consumption recently? It’s the day I was running a single 2kW electric heater in my carage while working on my truck.
There is no single right answer to that as nobody knows what the actual outcome of it would be.
Best case scenario is that AI (and advanced robots) do everything you don’t want to do and you can focus on the other things. It would cancel the need for human labour and theoretically has the capability to answer all questions and solve all problems that there is a solution to.
In the worst case it either destroys us entirely or worse, creates a hell for us to live in.
An every imaginable scenario in between.
