Back around 2015 I went to Amsterdam.

But I did want to eat a brownie while there as part of the experience.

I met up with some other gals at a hostel. We all went to a famous coffee shop. Has a bulldog logo (?) It was super packed. But there was a big table of a few other young ladies and we asked if we could join. So we hung out with them the rest of the evening.

I got my brownie. And of course I had read about dosage and such online before hand. Cause I was traveling alone and you gotta be smart about drug use as a tourist.

The guide online said that the effects take a pretty long time to kick in. Some reporting an hour or even longer. But that the potency of THC in this particular brownie from this shop was very high. And was suggested to not eat more than one and not smoke and eat the brownie too.

As I’m chatting up with these new friends, I notice one has a half eaten brownie in front of her , while she is also smoking.

So I say. “Hey I read online …dosage…yada yada”

And she’s like. “Oh shit. Really ?” But in a German accent cause she was German.

She then told me she already ate a full brownie. That one of the other girls didn’t finish hers, so she was finishing it off.

And I was like…

“Guuuurrll. Be careful getting back to your hostel.”

When we left we split up into two groups. There was like 10 of us. And we walked each other back to our hostels. I was with 2 other people going to a different hostel and 2 going back to mine (same room, which is how I met them).

Idk what happened to the German girl. But here is what happened to me and my group.

After we dropped off the 2 other ladies at their hostel we headed to ours.

The brownies started to kick in. And ramped up fast. We had all had one. And then one of the girls had also smoked. So one of us was practically non functional while two of us near that point.

We started getting really confused about how to get back to the hostel. It was pretty late by then. No busses or trams running. We were walking. Gps sucked balls back then. But that’s what we used.

All the canals looked the same. We had to keep stopping to sit down . Because we were so fucked up. Were we walking in circles. Had we came this way already. ?

I have never been so high in my life. And I definitely had overdone it a few times as a teen but it was nothing like this.

We kept questioning if that was the same boat or different. Idk. Somehow we did finally make it back.

The next morning one of them woke me up to ask if I wanted to go to the anne frank house. I was like. Fuck no.

It was so surreal. Like anne fucking frank. !?!

I Slept until like 3pm. I was also dealing with time change cause I’m from the Midwest U.S. but yeah. So I missed them and they were going back to Spain after anne frank house. so I never saw them again or got their info. :/. Cool people tho.
