I will add that while I love The Prestige, its sister movie The Illusionist is also worth a watch or two.

I grew up on NFS:U2
it’s a great game. speed done right, car controls done right. atmosphere done right. progression done well.
it’s a good game.

reduce your consumption, reuse items, and recycle waste. prioritize in that order.
don’t eat farmed meat. it’s very resource intensive to farm.
minimize travel by plane and by car. they’re not very fuel efficient.
vote for politicians that share your ideals.

it’s more about practicalilty. when in flossing, stuff might get loosened but still be partially stuck in my wire, or just stick to be back of my teeth
if I floss first, I can just go straight to brushing and not have to get that little piece unstuck separately
this really helps to optimize my time efficiency in my life, allowing me precious more seconds to doomscroll
gotta be morrowind, right? doesn’t look like oblivion to me. but it’s been a while
the background is confusing me. doesn’t look like that type of game.
this is normal around here as long as the homeowner knows you’re coming
something is either a SOLID or a LIQUID and there is no in between
this is also how I frame my worldview and politics and I can not be convinced it isn’t perfect

most of the solicitors I get are definitely on a commission program
that said, my time is too important to me to bother wasting theirs.

I’m proud of you
yep. I’m just tired of people not recognizing the very real dangers of desk jobs and long hours. look at any engineering department and you’ll see fat guys that can’t move, and seemingly healthy people with issues.
yes, we’re not about to cut our fingers off at our desk. but being at your desk for 50+ hours a week has real consequences on your body, that have very real effects on your life outside of work. and you need to know about that and handle it.
sometimes, not always
I’ve found that people use “work from home” more often when they mean actual work. slightly more often. most people I know still use remote interchangeably for work from home.

it’s an unpleasant ethical question
where is the line for what is acceptable for the greater good? how many others would you let die to save one child?
when only one side plays by stricter morals, the game is unfair
pickles, cucumbers, carrots, peppers. nice and crunchy, basically zero cal, they take some time to eat (unlike nuts that you can pop by the handful).
but yeah for shovelling, dry popcorn is a good option

is this an american thing?
the path to get to “shopping preferences” is different for me than the article says, and then it just has three sections with no contents. clothing & shoes, interests, pets — none have any info in them

my '08 (that a bought a '12 to replace) is a rusty pos that needs a lot of high-mileage maintenance and regular maintenance (rusty af everything, gas tank is gonna start leaking soon, pretty much the entire suspension is shot, power steering starting to leak, some sort of engine issues that I’m not sure what exactly is causing it, rusty exhaust headers causing some of the engine issues), but since I can’t get any money for it, I’m not sure when exactly I’m going to get rid of it. might as well keep it around until I know for sure I don’t want to fix it

sorry I should have added the alternative option of “is ignorant of the fact and should be expected to be able to figure that out”
if somebody won’t think of how their actions affect others, fuck them.

anyone that bought a cybertruck did so knowing full well that it’s a giant “fuck everybody but me” vehicle
I have no sympathy for them. their victims, yes. the owner, not at all.
cheap verniers are one of the tools I have in every main space, alongside a machinist’s ruler, allen keys, and a ratcheting screwdriver
