In my dream, I died. My partner, after a short mourning, found another partner. As a ghost, I killed the guy by driving my chef’s knife through his chest, up to the handle. The kitchen floor was slippery and the knife not properly placed on the worktop.
Again, after mourning for some time, my partner finds another person. A shallow, vain, individual but not a bad man. Dropped a hairdrier in the tub as he was having his beauty bath.
About half a year later, another guy courts my partner. Can’t remember why but I made his car have a malfunction over an unguarded railway crossing. The train spread car pieces and carnage over several tens of meters.
Another time lapse and another guy was living with my partner. A truck hit his car as he was changing a blown tire, after having a break fail down a steep road. The hit crushed the bastard like a grape and sent the car tumbling into a ditch.
After these four events, my partner is by now a very well off woman. Unfortunately, the last event triggered an investigation by authorities; four violent deaths, under unusual circumstances, where each victim leaves a very generous life insurance, do raise some questions. However, I caused every event being careful to have my partner always away from home and with plenty of proof she had no connection with the untimely deaths of her suitors. In fact, she made a point of warning each and every one those idiots I had promised to watch over her against all harm.
The fifth fool was one of the investigators assigned to assess the entire ordeal. Again, my partner told him I was around, an overzealous guardian haunting. He would not believe and, eventually, courted my partner. He was a controlling fellow.
One day, him being alone, I decided to show myself to him. Walked into the living room, sat across him, in my arm chair, and when we made eye contact and he recognized me from a picture in the room, I just said “This is the time I say boo.” which made him promptly jump out the window and die by broken neck from the fall.
I woke up laughing, told my partner the next morning, and after the initial shock and horror reaction, we both had a good laugh.
P.S. I going to write this into a proper ghost story.

Hey, thank you for the compliment. I’ll remember you when I get to write tge whole story.
But after your analysis, I’m glad I did not bring up that one involving seasoning and zombies.
