help-circle
  • It’s businesses fridges that are getting hacked. So in theory it could do more than that, it should be able to automatically create a maintenance ticket, trigger a stock check for the part if it’s out of stock create a purchase order for the part.

It could also flag if it has been not closed properly especially if there are out of hours stock fill and or for stockroom fridges.

It allows central control over power usage and better management there and local control based on weather forecast.

Allows better control over defrost cycles. Though this last one could arguably be better done by using on device machine learning.

Consumer level smart fridges though, yeah no point whatsoever.

  • Must the circles you run in. I literally know no individuals who have subscriptions. Businesses, yeah, but individuals no. Businesses are the kind of client that will look closely at the cost vs benefits and move to cheaper options (eg locally hosted models that do 90% of what the subscription does at 40% of the cost)

  • I don’t see what people liking it has to do with the fact Google is making less money due to the ai summaries meaning people aren’t clicking sponsored links.

Unless you think everyone you met likes it enough to start paying a monthly fee for it? Because I’ll bet they like it, but like it while it’s free
