Well, to be fair, he doesn’t think any other American citizen has constitutional rights either.

I have nothing but respect for characters of integrity like Alex Pretti who seemed like one hell of a sterling lad, and sympathy for Renée Good and other like her. Do you really think my comment was directed at those (proportionally far too few) who do act?
Or do you think I was referring to everybody else who still don’t?

Eh, they’ll be fine. It’s not like Americans seem inclined to do anything about their own situation, let alone risk anything for the people interned in ICE’s happy-happy joy-joy cage camps.

You’d think she could at least use the term ‘woman’ to avoid coming across as a specialized dominatrix for people with an unfortunate brat fetish.

“Also, find out whatever she’s into and add a reminder to my calendar to send her some of whatever it is on her birthday whenever that is. It’s a ‘she’, right?”

Yeah, I know, I know. Let me amend that to “ironic given the stated aims”.

“Welcome back to this week’s episode of ‘What Could Possibly Go Wrong?’, and, oh boy, do we have a juicy one for you tonight!”

How ironic.

Either way, good luck to you and yours.

Just what the world needs. More realistic slop and difficult to detect deep fakes. /s

Yeah, true. Maybe follow that up with converting some of that cash into dry and canned goods and some upgrades to the shack though. Can’t eat money, and if this gets bad enough, the only thing bills will be good for is a substitute for toilet paper or insulation for the shack.

Unfortunately, it’s difficult to see how anybody can be insulated from the inevitable economic consequences of fraud of this stupendous magnitude. We’re all going to pay, one way or the other.
But with that said, I’m glad to hear it. Keep up the good work.

You misunderstood what I just said. The three things I used as examples have plenty of results - positive ones even - for the people doing them. It’s just that they have an even greater negative impact on everybody else. And exactly who is burning the trees they just cut down, robbing the bank or defrauding their marks has no bearing on that either way.

Argument by authority. Who uses LLM’s for what has no bearing on whether their net causal impact of them is sufficiently good for society to justify their continued existence or not.
Slash and burn farming is great - for the farmer doing it. Robbery is great for the robber, fraud is great for the fraudster. I didn’t pick robbery or fraud as random examples either.
Sure, China. Sure.
