IMO, this is probably a lie manufactured by the Trump Regime. Trump just wants to steal Jensen’s fortune, and to punish a “china man” for daring to do well in life.

This is, 100%, without a doubt, just a way for him to avoid legal liability for doing things of his own free will. He wasn’t complicit in smuggling! He was taken advantage of by that irresistible Chinese succubus! It’s her fault!

Now, I don’t really care. I think it’s great that he’s bypassing US sanctions. Altho I would prefer China have its own domestic chip manufacturing and not buy from companies like this, but until that is fully developed they need to get by somehow. But yeah this is the most obvious scapegoating I’ve ever seen.

In fact, I’d like NOBODY to buy from companies like this. NVIDIA should crash and fucking burn.

    Indict that bitch!

The value of the chips is probably less important than the possession of them that allows them to reverse engineer them, if they haven’t already.

Almost reads like standard Chinese business practice to me. Not to defend any of these grifters. Also , theres some dry humour in the article:

Notably, Jensen is currently married to his wife of 41 years

    “currently”, haha

Waste of a honeypot. I reckon he would sell his grandmother for cash… don’t believe for a moment that he and nvidia are not finding ways to sell past/through/around restrictions anyway

Yeah, it might be like an unspoken plausible deniability contingency.

If they get caught he couldn’t have known! It was HER!!!

Two billion dollars worth of sales doesn’t seem like the kind of thing any single person could be “fooled” into signing off on.
